While summer tires deliver exceptional performance in warmer conditions, they are not designed to perform in winter temperatures. As temperatures drop, the specialized rubber compounds used in summer tires become less flexible, reducing traction, braking performance, and overall vehicle control.Winter tires provide a significant advantage on cold, wet, snowy, and icy roads. Engineered specifically for low-temperature conditions, they offer enhanced grip and stability when it matters most.Protecting the performance of your Audi means equipping it with the right tires for the season. Our team can help you select the ideal winter tire package to ensure your vehicle continues to perform at its best throughout the colder months.

Winter tires are strongly recommended for driving in British Columbia during the colder months. They are specifically engineered to provide enhanced traction, braking performance, and control in cold temperatures, snow, slush, and icy conditions. For Audi drivers, winter tires help preserve the confidence, precision, and performance your vehicle was designed to deliver.

Summer Tires offer outstanding handling, responsiveness, and braking performance in warm temperatures.All-Season Tires provide versatility for year-round driving in moderate conditions and are ideal for drivers seeking convenience.Winter Tires are designed with specialized rubber compounds and tread patterns that remain flexible in cold temperatures, delivering superior grip and control when temperatures drop below 7°C.Our Audi specialists can recommend the ideal tire solution based on your driving habits and seasonal needs.

A good rule of thumb is to install winter tires when temperatures consistently reach 7°C or lower. Making the switch before winter weather arrives helps ensure your Audi is prepared for changing road conditions. Tread depth plays a critical role in maintaining traction, braking capability, and handling across a variety of road and weather conditions. As tread wears down, your tires' ability to channel water, slush, and snow diminishes, impacting overall vehicle control. To preserve the confidence and precision expected from every Audi drive, regular tire inspections are essential.Tire Tread Depth Guide6/32" or Greater
Optimal Performance
Your tires are performing as intended, providing excellent traction, handling, and braking performance in a wide range of driving conditions.4/32" to 5/32"
Performance Diminishing
As tread depth decreases, wet-weather traction and braking effectiveness begin to decline. We recommend planning for tire replacement to maintain optimal safety and performance.Below 4/32" (Summer & All-Season Tires)
Replacement Required
Tire performance is significantly compromised, particularly in wet conditions. For continued safety, control, and driving confidence, tire replacement is strongly recommended.Below 9/64" (Winter Tires)
Winter Traction Compromised
Winter tires rely on deeper tread depth to effectively grip snow and slush. Once tread falls below 9/64", winter performance is greatly reduced, and replacement is recommended to maintain cold-weather capability.

Yes. Many routes connecting the Lower Mainland to mountain destinations, including the Sea-to-Sky Highway, are subject to seasonal winter tire regulations. Even if roads are clear in Vancouver, winter driving conditions can develop quickly at higher elevations. Our team can help ensure your Audi is equipped for your journey.

The Lower Mainland experiences significant rainfall throughout the year, making tire condition especially important. Adequate tread depth helps channel water away from the tire's contact patch, reducing the risk of hydroplaning and improving stability during wet-weather driving.Regular tire inspections help ensure your Audi remains confident and composed in challenging conditions.

Temperature fluctuations common throughout British Columbia can affect tire pressure. We recommend checking tire pressure at least once a month and before longer road trips.Proper tire inflation helps improve:SafetyFuel efficiencyTire longevityRide comfortVehicle handling

Yes. Potholes, road debris, and uneven pavement can cause damage to both tires and wheels, potentially affecting handling and ride quality. If you've recently hit a pothole and notice vibration, pulling, or unusual tire wear, we recommend scheduling an inspection.
